In Part 1 of this lesson we looked at G-d as being separate from His creation.  He created, yet He was not  creation.  He created the Universe to express His Nature, so that He may be known, yet He is not apart of nature.

I want to start off part II of our study of Genesis 1:1, by quoting Abraham Cohen commenting on the Talmud (Everyman’s Talmud, pg. 347), “The belief was general that the sending of the Messiah was part of the Creator’s plan at the inception of the Universe.” In a later work there is the observation: “From the beginning of the creation of the world king Messiah was born, for he entered the mind (of God) before even the world was created’ (Pesikta Rab. 152b).

The sages of old wrote of the Messiah “from the inception” of the created world, and even before the world was created.  Indeed, John, a disciple of the Messiah Himself, wrote in his Gospel, John, 1:1-3, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”  John was referring to Yeshua.

Isaiah 46:9, 10, “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me.  Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure”.

Again, Genesis 1:1 tells us that G-d was in the beginning.  The sages tell us in the Talmud that Messiah was part of the Creator’s plan at the creation of the Universe.  The Apostle John tells us that Yeshua was He that created all things.  The Creator of the Universe and all that is within it is Yeshua, the Word of G-d.  He was from the beginning, and before all things, and, as we see in the New Testament, He is the end, the Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end. (Revelation 1:8 ”I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”) The prophets wrote of Him as declaring His creation from the END to the beginning.  This will become absolutely REAL to us as we study the Torah.

Now, the significance of this in our study is this: What the purpose was from the beginning, has held true throughout history in this corporeal existence, and in the heavenlies, even to the end of the summing up of all things in this age.  The Purpose was, from the beginning, G-d making Himself known for a particular fellowship He desired.  As we study the days of creation, this purpose/truth will be shown by the very things that are made.

Yeshua was from the beginning, as the PURPOSE of Creation, and He is the end, as the FULFILLMENT of creation.  He is the Beginning of all things, and the End of all things.  He is everything, and everything is about Him.  This will be proved out in the Scripture.  I will not have to prove these things, the scripture itself will do it.  His Word is a SPEAKING Word, and His creation SPEAKS of Him.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.  Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.  There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.  Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.  In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun.”  Psalm 19:1

As we begin to look at the creation itself, we will see the connection there is to all things.  There is a connection in the six days of creation to all truth that is found in this universal existence.  There are correlations from the detail of creation to the details in all revelation throughout the Bible.  Especially we will see this correlation in the Law of the Offerings.

If we would consider for instance, the variations there are in each rock that makes up the Rocky Mountains.  Take just one small rock, and study its surface.  You’ll see the topography, if you’ll allow me to use the term, of a single rock to be almost, if not equal, to the whole of the Rocky Mountains. (I’m not saying it is an exact duplicate, but is comparable in its surface variation) (I ran across this illustration of the rock while studying mathematical fractals many years ago.)  This  is found repeated throughout all of Creation, and also, in the Bible.

Every verse in the Bible is like the rock in the Rocky Mountains, it represents a world of knowledge we have hardly even conceived of even existing.  The many libraries full to the brim with commentaries, and of course, the Talmud itself, is evidence of this truth.  All the volumes that have been written about this one book is astonishingly amazing, and yet, when G-d speaks, it is revelation, He is able to speak something about His own Word that has never occurred to any man in the history of the world.  When G-d is ready to reveal, it is a revelation, be assured. What He would say would blow the mind of the most learned of scholars.  It is all for a revelation of Yeshua in the Earth, in man, as the Image of G-d. (All of creation ‘shares’ in the Revelation of Yeshua, G-d, Creator.) – If we as His people would turn all of our attention to Yeshua, as the Living Word of the Most High, we would begin a journey of REVELATION. -  The detail in which each small, single rock is comparable to the whole mountain range, with every slight dip, every minor valley, with every slightest bit of millions of variation in height in a single square foot of rock (depending, of course, on how close you look), let alone in a square mile.  If one would think on this a while, it can be mind boggling to comprehend the detail that has gone into every particle of creation.  Every single particle is a work of infinity (I use the term infinity to describe reality in the realm of man, or physical realm.  What is infinite in this realm/universe, is not infinite in the heavenly realm.  What is endless to man is nothing but a dot in the palm of G-d’s hand.  There is nothing in the physical that can be termed infinite in the Spiritual/heaven sense.) The rock is an example of what lies only on the surface.  If one goes deeper into the physical creation of life, they discover a brand new UNIVERSE of existence that is invisible to the naked eye.  And every particle of the unseen universe is as mind boggling as the single rock in the mountains.  The measure of the detail is unimaginable.

“Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding.  Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?”  Job 38:4,5

We, as man, cannot fathom the depths of creation, its infinity (speaking in human terms).  When one contemplates even one wave particle floating about in space, and understands to any degree what that particle is made up of, and what it’s use, it’s function, is in the whole plan of existence of the Universe, one must stop and fall on his face in absolute amazement and wonder, and humble acknowledgement, that G-d is an amazing all powerful G-d.  His ways are PAST finding out, He is supreme in His Universe.  We are but dust, and nothing….. and yet, His Life in us, makes us something He finds most valuable in all of creation.  Such an amazing thought.  The statement, “G-d with us” is the most amazing statement of truth, and revelation, the world will ever know.  It is the ultimate Truth.  The whole of the Bible is about this one thing, G-d with us.  All the volumes in the biblical libraries are about this one thing,  G-d with us.  The Word of Truth is worthy of all our attention.  We are studying this Word.  If the physical creation is so amazing, think of the wonders of the Spiritual realm- incomprehensibly inconceivable, unless by Spiritual revelation.
1 Corinthians 2:14, “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

We see this detail of the genius of G-d in so many ways being revealed to us in the Torah, especially in the Laws of the Offerings, and other areas.  Yeshua is the Beginning, the middle, and the End.  He is in the Offerings, He is what the details are all about, and He fulfills every detail.  This is such a blessing to study.

The Universe was created for G-ds pleasure, Revelation 4:11. “Thou are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

In seeing G-d, as in Genesis 1:1, as there, before Creation, everything that comes foreword is only from His Own Heart.  Every detail that we read from that point on is from His Own Heart.  He is the G-d of Love, what He does He does in Love.  How wonderful is Your Creation O G-d! You are AMAZING!

How He actually made the earth, and the heaven, is not in the scope of this study (thankfully, it would be way over my head, and everyone’s combined), but we can at least give Him Praise, and Thanks, for being so mindful of us, that He would put SO MUCH into every detail, to make this existence a wonderful work of PERFECTION- for the express purpose of HIS Image in the dust of the universe, in form of a man, molded from the dust of the earth.  I tell you, if there were any other reason for life to exist, LIFE WOULD NOT EXIST!  This is a Truth we will actually cover in the weeks and months to come, as we continue our study of the Torah.

There is great pleasure in G-d creating the Universe, and all that is within it.  As we go through the Torah, we will see this unfold many times, His pleasure.  Oh how overlooked this is in our minds of self importance, that we forget our Creator, and His great Love and attention He has put into every detail.

I have not included all the scripture that has come to mind while writing this lesson, because I want to leave you the opportunity to share those passages that mean something to you. The Bible is full of the knowledge of our Creator IN His creation. Please leave your comments, with your scripture to share, either here, or on Facebook page.  I hope what we do cover will help us all to come to a better understanding of the purpose of G-d, in the Universe, especially in our World, and most especially, in our very lives.

Blessings

In Yeshua
